I briefly tagged along with Chris Schmitt for the engagement session
of this playful couple. Lots of chemistry in this shoot!

Roger and Pattie are two just incredibly sweet and kind people
and I knew when I first met them that I'd love working with them.

Roger spontaneously tucked a flower in her hair. How cute is that?

Roger and Pattie, thanks for braving the cold wind (and yes,
even chillier water!), and being so lovely in front of the camera. I look forward to shooting your wedding!
These guys look like naturals in front of the camera. I especially love the pic of the two of them looking at each other in the field. So sweet! And the last two photos...LOVE!!

Nathan and Katharine love the outdoors. And with the lovely California weather, it's
not surprising that these two have practically hiked all over southern
California and beyond. So it was fitting
that their engagement session was out on the trail.

They're actually looking at a map of the Grand Tetons, where
Nathan proposed to Katharine (and managed to sneakily film it himself).

And a little light painting to end the day...
Huy told me that Liz loves flowers. So it was doubly a pleasure seeing spring in
full and gorgeous bloom on the day of their engagement shoot. We headed down to San Juan Capistrano, where
Huy and Liz proceeded to show me that all I really needed to do was point and
shoot. They are absolutely the perfect
mix of sugar and spice.

We met the friendliest cat, who apparently wanted to be in the picture as well.

And for any doubters out there, Huy and Liz really do go out
on picnics. That's the sugar part that
I was talking about. Of course, the umbrella and romantic breeze are always optional.
I, however, do not believe for one minute that Huy really
knows how to juggle. I don't think that
Liz believes it either.

Huy and Liz, it was a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to shooting your wedding this summer. :)
Love the pictures! I wish I was better looking, but I'll take the good-looking fiancee. You know what I'ma sayin'?!
