Marriages, new jobs, and new family members tend to spread families quite a bit. This fun, busy family is no exception. So it was really nice when we were able to get a few of the family together for a photoshoot at Cal Lutheran university, where the parents first met.

Photographing people always tells you a little bit about their personality. Whereas most family members gravitated towards grass, trees, and other bits of pretty scenery, what piques quirky Krissy's interest? Garbage, concrete, and dumpsters. :) All in all it was a very fun, entertaining shoot, as it always is with the growing Kwan family.

I photographed this cute little family several months ago back when their little bundle of joy was still inside the belly. Since then, their baby girl made her debut and we had a chance to do a fun little session to chronicle her six months of life.

Babies have such adorable gear. With socks like these, who needs shoes?

We headed over to a nearby airfield to watch some model planes fly.

Bobby and Karen told me that their baby came with a one and a half hour battery pack, and they weren't joking. Right after our session, this exhausted little baby fell asleep in her car seat, providing what will hopefully be a smooth ride home.

In honor of James' (almost ) one year of life, I took pictures of their cute little family of four at their house. Here are a few highlights:

A family picture gone humorously awry with James attempting to kiss Lucy in the face.

Doesn't this remind you of "Where the Wild Things Are"?

Afterward, Megan took us to this spot near their house where she had pictures taken when she was pregnant with James.

Early Happy Birthday! :)

In honor of little Isaac's six months of precious life, I did another another family photoshoot for their cute little family. There's something that's really amazing about being able to capture the unscripted moments of a family. The activities may be planned, but the touches, looks, kisses, and hugs definitely tell me that Isaac is one lucky baby.
Here are a few pictures from their session.

Isaac's first time on the swing.

Saturday was quite the scorcher. So when the park didn't fully pan out, some time in the pool buttered him right up.

A very exhausted Isaac got his much-deserved rest.

The Nayfack family is very mellow, and little baby Isaac is no exception.
For a three month old baby, he really really knows how to work the camera.
This was a really funny shot.
His name is printed in really light letters at the bottom of his quilt. Very cute.
It's good to be Isaac.
I think in retrospect, the furrowed brow below might've been an indicator that he was getting fed up with the photo shoot.
The meltdown. Despite being told by Michelle that she wanted to chronicle this aspect of Isaac as well, I still felt kind of like a villain snapping shots of Isaac in his moment of weakness.
It was a bit hard snapping a shot of Isaac in a moving car, but this pout was too cute (and I was obviously not driving).

I had the bright idea that it would be awesome to have Isaac sitting on the wall with the house number below it. This is what he thought of it:
But at the end of the day it was ok, because the big black plastic thing was no longer pointed at him and he got to go back to his favorite spot.
